The Early Years
Clyde Vanel was born in Queens and raised in Cambria Heights, New York, in a two-parent household with nine siblings.
Clyde attended P.S. 147 in Cambria Heights and Sts. Joachim & Anne School in Hollis, respectively.
Clyde attended St. John’s Prep in Queens for high school where he played varsity basketball.
Clyde attended Embry-Riddle University in Daytona Beach where he became a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity Inc. He then transfered to SUNY.
Remembering the values that his parents taught him, Clyde worked while attending school and was an honor student at the State University of New York, in Farmingdale. He was the first student in school history to serve two terms as the Student Government President. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace technology and aviation administration in 1997.
He went on to earn a law degree from Boston University, where he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Science &Technology Law.
